You bet I’m angry. (Maybe if people got angry with what the government was doing with their billions in the name of a blue/yellow meme then maybe we could stop that war machine. Not likely. They still actually suck at that NYTimes teat of deceit.)
And I won’t play any of my set of available virtue-signaling cards based on you “looking at my last name”.
I’ll remind you that it was the Russians that beat the Nazis, not America and its nuclear bombs on innocent people – and that many Ukrainians were on that other side.
Even my father in Galicia possibly.
War is hell and murder and it only serves the wealthy – everyone else is bamboozled into it.
I'm not buying!
The country I live in is the one most escalating a war – risking not only more and more of Ukraine but also of the rest of the world.
But hell, we don‘t care — it’s all over there far away — far away from the bloodshed.
As usual!
I’ve watched this decade after decade of my life.
Your statement that I or Scott have to come up with a better plan is pure nonsense.
You sit there in your comfy chair, pushing your courage (hah!) and escalation onto young men who are really in the midst of the war.
Yeah – maybe not a solution but a serious start —SIMPLE - USA demand peace – step up to the world plate and speak up – put all that weapons sale lust and militaristic rhetoric aside and speak up — in the media — in the UN – wherever . . . You know it ain’t happening.
The USA has no interest in piece whatsoever. Millions are being made. It’s the War Racket in full orgasmic flare – and we’re getting the Ukrainians to do all the dying.
With an eye out to do likewise with Taiwan.
Our leaders have directly spelled it out!!

As much as you’re critical of the arguments against the war and for peace, saying they’re nothing new – you come back with the same old loaded chestnuts in support of it. And will continue to do so.
And I will never stop speaking out agaisnt any of the reasons —excuses! ! — that are always manufactured to get people to consent to slaughering each other. No til I leave the planet.
I leave this with Major General Smedly Butler who spelled it all out in 1935 — and it explains why I do not support escalating this or any war. The mentality has to change, the realization of how regular people are the pawns in a game has to be exposed.
“War is a racket. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious.
It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.
A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many.
Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.
In the World War [I] a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified their tax returns no one knows.”
