Words Falling Vertically

Hence: A Poem

I wrote
a sentence
that alluded to nothing—

but midway
it mentioned
the ethereal nectar of sorrow—

and so I fractured it
and stacked the words
vertically
upon a page
stating:
I have
a poem writ!
