When I read "social media" I think Facebook, YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, WeChat., Xwitter, etc.

Other than YouTube, I find few of the benefits you praise proceeding from the others. Those do exist on the internet, but the shoppers and cat-video-watchers far outnumber the learners, I sadly suspect.
