Unfortuately in my lifetime I have repeatedly seen the word "freedom" used (abused) to sell the latest empire builing adventure my country wants to go on—while disregarding the freedoms of the countries it chooses to invade. And the population goes along, waving flags. History is a neverending story of this repeated pattern.
