It began when I found myself struck by the way the edges of buildings against the sky form their own skyline.
I started taking photos with that in mind and flipping them upside down. What amazed me from the start was how this completely unique and unexpected perspective emerged. A new world appears each time I flip one of these images.

Here are a dozen alternative worlds captured over the past two years.
