To these ears, which were at the store the very day every Beatles album was ever released, it was a beautiful song flattened rather than lifted by technology.

That said, the previous re-imaginings —"Free As A Bird"/"Real Love" — although heavily soaked in Jeff Lynne/ELO production — still worked for me — sort of a Travelling Beatleburys sound. (And the video for Free As A bird was marvelous.)
