Sorry - but to me US policy IS the issue.

Too easy for comfortable computer keyboard warriorts in the US to fight the proxy war with bodies thousands of miles away.

We do not hae the moral high-ground - in any way - to be the police of the world - and with almost a thousand bases all over the world let's face it we are the most dangerous empire! Talk about "militarism and expansionism" being a very dangerous aspect of the USA.

We are not in Ukraine for democracy or freedom or some such nonsense.

We need to get to work on our own country and our own people and infrastructures not these perpetual war games.
