Planting The Flags of the Freedom Pile Project

Curb Your Dog

On every single street in New York City — in every neighborhood — the signs are there, pleading with dog owners—begging them to clean up after their animals.

Meanwhile, I have seen people let their dogs go right into the little street gardens. I’ve watched them as they let Bella pee on the plants and trees. I’ve witnessed people slither off and leave Lil Fauci’s poop on the sidewalk. And I have encountered piles on the sidewalk—in neighborhoods both wealthy and poor—on an almost daily basis. Frustratingly I’ve also come home on a dark night with traces of these owners' contemptuous disregard on my shoes.

Pleading.

Yep — There He Goes Again

About two and a half years ago I wrote down my observations and thoughts regarding humans and dogs in New York City.
