In the poor neighborhood we live in—as in similar neighborhoods all around the city— they have furniture-on-credit stores that have extremely gaudy items (mirrored dressers, overstuffed fake leather couches). Keeps the poor in extended debt with illusions of wealth—not even real Gucci., as fake as the Rolex watches they sell on street corners.
