In 1986 Joe Biden said: “Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interest in the region.” (He's repeated is recently!)

What exactly is “her interest in the region”? ? ?

(And oh yeah - Isreal has retracted a couple hundred from the original 1400. So that list is shrinking while the Palestinian one is 10,000 and growing daily!)
