Is not voting the answer? Is voting the answer?

Some thoughts:

"If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal." — Emma Goldman

"Don’t vote—it just encourages the bastards." — P. J. O’Rourke

and the best, George Carlin:

Me, I voted Democratic for 50+ years.

Last year I re-registered as unaffiliated.

My imperfect answer this election will be to vote for Jill Stein. I cannot vote for either of these servants of the military-industrial complex — my name will not appear as an endorsing signature on what the USA is doing in Ukraine and Israel.

We each have to do what we can live with.

I fear there may be no way to dismantle this power structure—perhaps it needs to self-destruct, which is what it looks like it may do as the USA plunders in an attempt to hold onto its wavering hegemony.

It's the ongoing War Racket—as Major General Smedley Butler spelled out in 1935. We the people struggle, suffer, and die—and the wealthy get wealthier in their safe places. This system always gets the votes of The Comfortable it serves.
