As soon as you see the word "leftist" used to describe someone in the USA you know you’re in politically questionable murky waters.
The Democratic party has continually shifted more and more to the right until Kamala Harris is so politically close to George W Bush that Dick Cheney crawled out of his vampiric crypt to support her. She was delighted to add his voice to her campaign of "joy".
She and Biden had four years to provide a real platform to address the people's needs —healthcare, education—but instead wasted it on wars and ducking responsibility for not doing what they said they'd do.
Many people saw through it — and this is why she and the party are still struggling to beat a knuckle-dragging television reality show clown.
Like HRC after her loss, the Democrats have a team of apologists working on excuses in case Harris loses. They never take responsibility for their own weakness.
Like this article, focusing on the “left”. Hey—go blame and shame or lecture and browbeat the always passive comfortable morally wishy-washy Moderates.
People who claimed to have opposed the invasion of Iraq have also morally drifted so far right that they're okay supporting a candidate that won't stop funding Israel in their genocide (risking bigger wars in the area) while sending billions to Ukraine in their proxy war against Russia — $atisfying the military-industrial complex while using Ukrainian men to do it. Risking a world war there also — just to try and hold onto their hegemony. The little actor clown Zelenskyy travels the world, doing photoshoots, selling "freedom" (except for elections in his country) to celebrities and meeting with US corporation CEOs, like Blackrock.
But Democrats don't question this any more. They're on board. Protests are so noisy. None of that anti-war stuff anymore. Their party (without primaries or debates) has manufactured a character for them —Obamala! — with Beyonce and Taylor Swift as bookends, while feeding non-stop monster fears about Trump, and — it has worked.
They'll pull that lever, excited by their fears like kids on a amusement park ride—repeating them over and over.
I will be voting for Jill Stein / Rudolph Ware because of what she stands for in her party platform.
If Kamala wins, her party will know that they can get away with these kinds of manipulative theatrics to get the gullible vote-blue to submit.
It will be just another kind of evil from the one that will happen with Trump wins.
Either way - it is after this election that anything resembling the "left" will have to rise to the occasion to work to create changes.
It will certainly not be the Cowering Comfortables who pull levers out of fear or ignorance rather than conviction.
