That Putin-underestimated-losing-war stuff even the NYTimes can't keep up the spin on any more.
I think people in the USofA just assume that other leaders in the world are just as stupid as ours — because we never win a war.
As it is crumbling already, by a month or so from now your perspective (expanded in your alien piece) will have completely fallen apart.
